However, the film is extremely worth as a contribution to both black film cinema and the vortex of African-American’s political prospective, a worth viewing at the least. Contrasting the various roles of these historical/iconic figures and interwoven political philosophies from the current Black Lives Matter function to the continuing civil rights movement…
“How Black are You?” to racism amongst Black Elites, economic wealth to those figures like Malcolm X who believe and live the trauma of racism. The underpinning beliefs of: Condoleezza Rice, Shack O’Neal, Morgan Freeman, Little Wayne, Justice Thomas to the Obamas and Professor Henry Gates Jr of Harvard to the thousands of other deaths not including the unfortunate televised and recorded death of George Floyd…
I have watched Regina King’s rise with youthful adoring adolescent male eyes for years… only to ask myself… Which Black Lives really matter? Director King take a bow and receive your applause.
These views are difficult to navigate and contributes the spectrum analysis of intellectual debate tantamount to a “Dinner with Gershwin.” Thank you, Director King it was a viewing.
