THEM, An Amazon original series, starring Deborah Ayorinde and Ashely Thomas in an unparalleled psychological drama/thriller involving the integration of “Compton” California’s suburbs during the 1950’s migration away from the “antebellum southern states” westward.

The post-traumatic stress of racism in its various forms. White suburbanites know all to well about “social distancing” before the our 21th century pandemic “bullying,” “harassment” and terrorizing of their ethnic “neighbors” with everything from burning “nigger heaven” to leaving “lynched” black baby dolls all along the front the house and others doll bodies torn, burnt and strewn about like a WWI battle field across the lawn. Hey, that’s mighty white of You.

The unparalleled stressors associated with watching your loved ones experience or cope with a plethora of “slow and steady” tactics” of those “who [are] down to the business of getting these negros gone…” It’s a scary world when you have to stand alone against violence, harassment, name calling, isolation, people deliberately bumping, pushing, shoving and viciously intruding/interfering with/into your daily lives. Not just another absurd conglomerate horror story. The realty is people live through this in every single madding detail. But “we can do better” through the eyes of “psychosis.”

This is a well written story line. If your into horror then this entertainment is for you if only your racist neighbor was also unable to procreate than change wouldn’t be necessary or treatable. A must watch.

Scary stuff
